GIRLS A&D UNIT The girls A&D unit is like out of control and it’s really immature for ALL of us to hold onto something from the past. We all need to realize that all of us are miserable and want to do good so we can get out, but we won’t get out the time we're supposed to if we keep up the drama and stupid rumors. We all live together and should be helping each other instead of bringing others down to stoop them down to our level. We need to be a team and work together and have positive attitudes and vibes. Trust me I have been here twice and if we keep up what we’re doing, the staff are going to cut down and not want to have fun and be lenient with the rules. I hope ALL of the Girls A&D girls will read this because I feel that if we can just work with the present and forget the past then our time will be so much easier, fun, and we will be out faster. I am just hoping that we can all get along and act like adults instead of acting like we don’t want to leave. Ashlyn J.

Living Dead Girl. By Elizabeth Scott
This book is about a fifteen years old girl who was kidnapped when she was ten and it is her story about what is happening to her while she lives with Ray “guy who kidnapped her”. Ray told Alice “that’s what he calls the girls he kidnaps” if she runs from him or lies to him he will go to her house and kill her parents and make her watch and hear their screams. Ray would tell her he loved her and to go pick out a little girl for them to have he said “you will hold here as I teach her how to be good”. I think it’s a good book and makes you think about you never know how good you have it till it's gone. by; Brooke

Movie review
The movie is called Soul Surfer it is based on a true story. It made me cry when the young girl had her arm bitten off by a shark when she was resting on her surf board in the ocean. She also entered competitions for surfing. She was back surfing a month after the attack. It takes place in Hawaii where she was born.

I’ve been here for not even 2 days and people are already starting rumors!! (DRAMA). I’ve made some friends that are pretty cool and boys are already asking for my nameJ…but I also miss the girls at A&D (hey). The uniform is kinda bogus. I can wear my own clothes, but we have to have a gray, black or white collared shirt and jeans. Thank God I found some cute things and can do my makeup and hair. Any way I hope I have a good time <3 ERMA P.

I hide in my darkest corner to find what I’m worthy for. I turn left, no one there, I turn to my right no one still in sight. Am I alone in this deepest darkest world? I’m in a hole no one to see or hear. But when I think, I think of them. But I hear them, their taunts and laughs from my deepest darkest past. I try and try to climb my way up, but only in my return the flesh that bleeds so much. And as I sit there weeping to my self. I wonder will it end or not, am I stuck with no help. I weep and cry, because my deepest friends leave laughing to one another and says I'll never get.
Book Review Left to Tell by Immaculee Ilibagiza
This book is the autobiography of Immaculee, a young woman at the time of the Rwanda holocaust. Immaculee is a Tutsi, the tribe that was being persecuted by the Hutu at the time. Immaculee shows all the gruesome and horrible things that took place in Africa at this time. When the genocide begins to take place her and, I believe about four other women, are hidden away in her pastor’s bathroom for months on end, without the ability to move because of fear that people will hear her in the house. These women are to stay absolutely still and only flush the toilet when one of the pastor’s children flushes the toilet on the other side of the wall in the other bathroom. Many times they heard the Hutu solders outside of the house searching for Tutsi men and women who haven’t been recorded as killed. Many times Hutu soldiers raided the pastor’s house and by what can only be described as a miracle they did not find their hide out. BY Alivia

This Artec News is on the April issue of Thrasher in this month’s mag it talks mainly about Toy Machine’s first road trip. Toy Machine is also releasing their second video of the year it is called Subhumans.The name derives from a lot of skateboarders now days and all their wack piercings and how funny they look, one of the big ones is guages. Ed Templeton advised kids not to do it, because it is permanent and looks gross and I definitely concur with him. The video release is going to be on the Thrasher website on this Friday April 29th.

Chu Lip is the name of the game. In this awkward silly game you are a new boy in a new town. Trying to earn a reputation in the town is tricky. It all depends on how many people you have kissed. Once you kiss all the people in the town you get to kiss the girl of your dreams. She is a runaway and lives in a construction piece by your house. It’s a scary game at times but silly and is never boring J Second objection other than kissing is to get this love letter set back so you can write the girl of your dreams a love letter. The Philadelphia Eagle’s rock. I like a how they have been around for a long time. Since 1932 they have been for really a long time. They have been changing their logo and their helmet. It was awesome when they had been out for awhile. It’s been the last couple of years since 2009 they’ve been changing their football players a lot, because Donovan McNabb has been out a lot in the season. So they tried to switch the quarterback to Michael Vick, so yeah it’s pretty awesome.

I’m going to write about a movie, that movie is going to be “Toy Story 2”
Well, I saw this really funny, exciting, ridiculous movie named “Toy-Story-2”and it is about this toy named, Woody. It was his owner, Andy’s, birthday and he got a new toy, his name is BUZZ-LIGHT-YEAR. And he is from Gamma Quadrant and he is on a mission to defeat the evil Emperor ZURG.Then he thinks he is an actual Space Ranger and he can fly. Then Woody gets replaced by Buzz and his posters get taken down. Andy doesn’t wear cowboy clothes anymore, he wears a space outfit.So that really makes Woody mad. Then he takes the remote control and tries to push him out of the window and then he misses. Then there is a chain reaction then ends up falling out of the window.Then the remote control tells everybody that he meant to push him out of the window, then neglects him, then something happens, but I forgot.And then Andy wants to take Buzz to Pizza Planet, but he got pushed out the window so he has to settle with Woody and then Buzz hopped on the back of the car.Then he fights Woody and they both fall out of the car and try to find Andy.
Boy’s bathroom
First thing that bathroom is disgusting and it stinks they have to clean that bathroom. I don’t think anybody would like to smell that. First thing they have to do is gather a lot of kids and tell them to clean the bathroom. They did the mess, nobody should clean after them. If somebody does the mess they have to clean the bathroom even staff I mean if one staff does he has to clean it.

What I love about the band “Attack Attack”
I love the band Attack Attack, because I love screamo and techno and Heavy metal and they play a little bit of both, that’s the type of variety I enjoy, because the band shows a lot of talent. I’ve heard a lot of people think that they are really popular. To tell you how popular they are I went to F.Y.E one time I wanted to get their second album, but I didn’t have my money so I didn’t bother to put it on hold, because there was about 7 albums By Attack Attack. The next day I got my money and I went to buy the album and there was only 1 album left, but it wasn’t really my favorite album, so I got it any way, because there could have been nothing left. I recommend this band to people that like hard core music.

Today’s ARTEC news I asked the devil for my soul back but instead he gave me no one. The darkness I couldn’t know what to do without my soul all I can do is not let the darkness drags Me to hell with no one to hold me tight and share their love with me I cried myself to sleep I would always think about how the devil ruined my childhood And all he did to me was hurt me so much he would take my family away to see Me suffer so much that he would get to my weakness and try to drags me to hell with him But all I can do is trying hard to get back on legs and not let him drag me so far I can’t reach the light now is the time to be brave and not let him take everything I love so much so now is the time I get him back with his weakness but sometime I try so hard to be brave But sometimes you got to learn to let go but some things happen for a reason one I don’t know And won’t understand now it’s my turn to drag him from hell to the earth ……… By: Ana
